The Mary Immaculate Center, where we had our retreat, is in need of volunteers for the next six weeks before they shut down. They had to reduce the number of staff to reduce cost, but now are shorthanded since retreats will still take place until closing. I asked how we can help. If you would like to help out below is what they are need of. Please contact Mr. Six at msix@adphila.org if you are interested in picking up a shift- we are not formally going as a group, but feel free to buddy up with someone. :)
Mr. Six is trying to keep the shifts down to 4 hours. August 1st and 2nd: morning cook and dishwasher for the breakfast and lunch shift and an evening cook and dishwasher. August 8th and 9th: Two morning cooks Saturday and Sunday and two cooks and a dishwasher Saturday evening.
